Data Structure

Before starting to use Loggfy, you need to understand the log entries and how we analyze them. We group all entries dividing them into Channels, Levels and with posted date time.

Channel Names

We use channel names (aka. message variale in Json Data), to group the data. Example:
If you're using loggfy to track your online shop, you can use channels names points the actions in your shop. Here an example adding a new customer registration to loggfy.
    {
    "message": "customer-register",
    "data": {
    		"adwords": "discounted products campaign",
    		"email": "[email protected],
    		"name": "John Doe"
    		"user_id": 788
	},
    "level": 200,
    "level_name": "INFO"
}

Log Levels

We use log levels to help categorize the events. Some entries might points to same channels but must be show in different levels. So the log levels are pretty perfect to do.
    {
    "message": "page-fail",
    "data": {
            "error": "Database error on 786th line",
            "page": "product/787/toy",
    		"user_id": 788
	},
    "level": 500,
    "level_name": "ERROR"
}
